new gig!

so I quit my job at 24 at the end of February and since then I have been not feeling great and been SO stressed, hence the lack of blog posts. 24 and I didn't mesh very well. The whole time I was there, I was struggling. Struggling to pay bills, struggling to enjoy work, struggling to find the motivation to do just about anything. It was very tough for me. It was a sales job, with a side of training, basically. And I gotta tell you, I suck at sales. beyond that, it was a lot of selling weight loss and recommending foods and nonsense which 1) I don't feel comfortable with and 2) i'm not an RD, so i'm not gonna be telling people what/how much to eat, as much as lots of PTs like to do. And the vibe was so negative in general. So there were a lot of reasons for not staying there.

and then after quitting I spent my whole day updating my resume and writing cover letters and filling out applications with literally nothing coming back to me for weeks. job hunting is THE WORST. And I was definitely closing myself off from the world so my friend told me to come take a yoga class. And it was tough and fun and so I went to another one. And then a different friend of mine teaches a foam rolling yoga class about 40 miles north me and after a while of him telling me to come check out his class I finally did! And fell in love with the studio and he introduced me to the manager and after some more classes and I got the job.

My new gig is at a SUPER COOL studio in San Marcos. It's called Edge by TruFusion and it is inside of a BFit gym. so you get all the badass studio classes and a whole gym. which is hella convenient. And the classes are SO MUCH FUN. and the coolest thing is, that they fuse together the types of classes and modes of exercise. there are battleropes and kettlebell hybrids, barefoot bootcamps using all sorts of different fitness styles, circuit training, battleropes and boxing, ballet sculpt, barre classes, and SO MANY MORE. literally, 70+ classes a week. Plus - lots of really killer music to go with all the classes. Right now I am going through a lot of cool courses so I can start teaching.

honestly, I am SO excited to start working here. It is an awesome space and the entire place has a really awesome vibe. Once I start teaching classes I will definitely let y'all know so you can come visit me!

and  now that I am back on a routine, I'll be back on the regular blogs and more posts and lots of other great projects! i'll keep you all updated!!
